Psychic Protection: Keeping Your Energy Field
Cleared and Protected

There are many techniques for
psychic protection, and you may already be familiar with—or even
actively practicing—one or more of them. If so, congratulations: you
are learning to work with energy with awareness and care.
Because dowsing and pendulum work
involve direct interaction with subtle energies, it would be a great
disservice not to first explain how to cleanse your aura and protect
yourself. The protection of your personal energy field is essential
preliminary step in all intuitive work. The danger of auric intrusion should never be
underestimated.
With that in mind, I would like
to share the first meditation that has consistently brought me
healing, peace of mind, and stability.
The White Light
Meditation
Throughout history, shamans,
witches, magicians, healers, and psychics have recognized the White
Light as a potent source of protection and well-being. I have ample
personal experience to attest to its protective power. What you need
to know is simple and direct: the White Light is real, and it works.
There have been moments when I
have been overcome by fear, only to invoke the White Light and feel
an immediate wave of calm and peace wash over me. But the true
revelation is this: the White Light offers not only psychic
protection, but physical protection as well.
You can surrounded friends,
family members, vehicles, homes, and properties with the White Light
and witness the tangible results in everyday life. This
raises the question: what exactly
is the White Light?
Many theories exist. Some
believe it to be a thought-form we create—one that acts through the
subconscious to manifest protection. While focused thought is
certainly used to invoke the White Light, I do not believe it is
something we manufacture ourselves. Rather, I believe it originates
from a higher source, operating on a higher level of consciousness.
One important truth bears
repeating: the White Light always answers your call. It always
comes.
The Meditation
Sit cross-legged on the floor
or upright in a comfortable chair. Allow your body to relax
completely. Close your eyes and take several slow, deep breaths.
Remain seated, breathing
gently, and gazing into the darkness behind your closed eyes. Let
all tension drain from your body. If thoughts arise, do not engage
them—simply brush them aside and return to stillness.
Now imagine a brilliant sphere
of white light forming above your head, approximately one to three
to four feet above you, in the space of the room you are in. See it
clearly. Make it bright—so bright that it illuminates the room.
Sense that it possesses awareness of its own, as though it is alive
and pulsating with divine energy.
Once the sphere is vivid in
your mind’s eye, allow it to slowly descend. It moves gently
downward, entering through the top of your head, flowing through
your face, shoulders, chest, and torso, until your entire body is
completely enveloped in the light.
The sphere expands until it
surrounds you entirely. Feel its subtle, tingling vibrations. It is
cleansing your aura deeply and thoroughly, dissolving any negative
energy that may have accumulated. Visualize dark or gray clouds
within your energy field breaking apart and washing away, as if dirt
and grime were being rinsed clean.
You begin to feel lighter.
Clearer. Renewed.
Now say—either aloud or
silently:
“I am cleansed and
protected by the White Light.
It is with me now.
I give thanks for the Light. Thank you.”
The Light has entered your
energy field and is set in place with your intention. At this point,
you can expand that very same Sphere of Light so that it grows
from you and envelopes your entire home, or you can start the
meditation over for each thing that needs protection: your home,
your vehicle, a loved one, etc.
Finally, allow the brightness
of the Light to gently dim until it becomes invisible. The
protection remains in place. The meditation is complete.
Because I am sensitive to
energy, I can always feel the Light when it enters my crown area—my
scalp tingles distinctly as the sphere descends. You may not feel
anything at first, and that is perfectly fine. With continued
practice, your sensitivity to energy will increase, as the Light
naturally stimulates your psychic centers.
Even if you feel nothing at all
for weeks, you will begin to
see results. Circumstances shift. Outcomes improve. Protection
manifests.
The White Light should be
invoked daily—and it must be invoked before all psychic work. There
are no exceptions. Better safe than sorry.
One word of caution: do not
invoke the White Light and then deliberately place yourself in
reckless or dangerous situations. The Light possesses intelligence
and responds to intention. It works in harmony with wisdom, not
against it. You are still responsible for making sound decisions.
The Cosmic
Forces Exercise
If visualization does not come
easily to you, there is another highly effective technique—more akin
to prayer or invocation—known as
The Cosmic Forces Exercise.
This exercise was first
introduced in print by writer and psychic lecturer David St. Clair
in his book Instant Lessons in
ESP (1978). While traveling through Brazil and interviewing
healers, St. Clair was given the technique by a medium. At the time,
he dismissed it as too simple to include in his work.
Later, after returning to the
United States, he interviewed another psychic who independently
shared the exact same
technique, identical in wording and structure. Recognizing the
significance of this repetition, St. Clair took it as confirmation
and chose to publish it.
The Exercise
Stand with your feet slightly
apart. Let your arms hang comfortably at your sides, not touching
your body.
Take a deep breath. As you
inhale, say silently or aloud:
“I bring the Cosmic Forces
into my body…”
Pause briefly, holding the
breath. Then continue:
“…asking for strength,
guidance, and protection.”
Exhale slowly.
Repeat this process three more
times, for a total of four repetitions.
On the fourth and final
repetition, you may add specific requests—for yourself, for another
person, or for a particular situation.
When you are finished, cross
your arms over your chest in the traditional Egyptian posture and
say:
“Thank you. Thank you. Thank
you.”
A Final Word
The paradox of psychic
protection is this: if you do not ask for it, “Upper
Management”—your Higher Self and Spirit Teachers—will assume you do
not require it. Free will is always honored.
So ask often. Ask sincerely.
Ask consciously.
And as a wise sage once said:
“Invoke often. Inflame
thyself with prayer.”
Protection, after all, is not a sign of fear—but of wisdom.
